As the election process picks up steam across the country, two candidates – one for NA seat and the other for provincial assembly seat – have submitted their nomination papers in Muridke tehsil.
More than 50 candidates have received nomination papers for the National Assembly seat. Of them, 21 candidates, including former chairman district council Sheikhupura Engineer Rana Ahmad Atiq Anwar, former MNA Rana Afzal Hussain and Mirza Mahmood Alam have received nomination papers for NA-113 Sheikhupura-I. Moreover, Mohammad Asif Silharia advocate, Anwar Rashid Gujjar from Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan, Sabir Hussain Bhalla from Pakistan Peoples Party have also received nomination papers, while former TLP candidate Chaudhry Anwar Rashid Gujjar was the first one to submit his papers.
A total of 32 candidates have received nomination papers for PP 136 Sheikhupura-I. Among them former MPA Chaudhry Hasan Riaz, Dr. Yusuf Raza Kazmi, Liaquat Ali Dagra, Chaudhry Qasim Riaz Gujjar are noteworthy. Chaudhry Qasim Riaz Gujjar was the first one to submit his nomination papers to Assistant Returning Officer Chaudhry Ali Raza Madhyal.
