Two Pakistan Army soldiers were martyred while five terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) near a Datta Khel in North Waziristan on Thursday.
The military’s media wing said the forces, acting on a tip-off, carried out the operation on a terrorist hideout in the Datta Khel area.
In a press release relating to the incident, ISPR has said that “Security Forces conducted IBO on terrorist hideout in Datta Khel, North Waziristan. In exchange for fire, 5 terrorists killed. 2 soldiers Sepoy Muhammad Shamim and Sepoy Asad Khan embraced Shahadat. The presence of terrorists was reported in a hideout. During the operation two terrorists killed.”
The martyred soldiers were identified as Havaldar Sher Zaman and Sepoy Muhammad Jawad.
