LAHORE: The transport department proposed a Rs10 increase on fares of the metro bus service operating in Punjab on Sunday.
According to details, the transport department stated that passengers will be charged Rs20 for the first 10 kilometres but a Rs10 hike has been proposed for the fare beyond 10kms, sources reported.

The proposal came after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) government decided to decrease the subsidy granted on metro bus fares.
However, the transport department further has also decided to end Speedo bus service card system and now passengers can travel on the Speedo bus by simply paying fares.

Previously, passengers were not allowed to travel on Speedo buses without their cards before.
