PESHAWAR – A key member of the notorious Lyari gang Baba Ladla group named Rashid Baloch was arrested here on Saturday.
According to police, the suspect was arrested by an intelligence agency and the Counter Terrorism Department from a house at Kohat Road, where he had been residing. A CTD officer said that Rashid Baloch – a key commander of the Baba Ladla group – was in several cases of target killing and extortion registered at police stations across Karachi.
He had carried out attacks against police in the Sindh capital and killed a number of influential personalities. He added that Baloch had filed a request for the acquisition of his passport and for the verification of his National Identity Card from Nadra office in Peshawar. Baloch had absconded from Karachi to Peshawar after Rangers operation.
