GHALLANAI: A minor boy was killed while another sustained injuries in a landmine blast in Khazina area of Safi tehsil on Saturday, official sources said. Sources said that two minor boys Muhammad Zubair and Muhammad Ayaz were herding their flock of goats and sheep towards home when they struck a landmine in Khazina area of Safi tehsil in Upper Mohmand Agency. As a result, the former was killed while the latter sustained wounds. The injured boy was shifted to a hospital in Peshawar for medical care. Later, Assistant Political Agent Upper Mohmand Agency visited the houses of victims’ families and expressed sympathy with them. The official handed over Rs 300,000 cheque to the relatives of the deceased and Rs 100,000 cheque to the injured.
