RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday said that there is ‘no bigger wind-up toy’ than former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
“There is no greater wind-up toy than Nawaz Sharif. His entire politics runs via a key. Unfortunately, the key has been broken, but if a new one is introduced, this toy (Nawaz) will dance like he used to during Gen. Ziaul Haq era,” Bilawal said addressing a rally in Kotli Sattian.
Continuing his tirade against Nawaz Sharif, Bilawal said that the former PM wanted to use Raza Rabbani as a shield to fight his battles. “By putting forward our Senator’s name as candidate for chairmanship, Nawaz has one again showcased hypocrisy,” Bilawal added.
“Nawaz said stop us if you can, and we countered him. He can be a miscreant but never a revolutionary. Why does Nawaz all of sudden care about the sanctity of vote? Where was the care during Zia’s period?,” he continued.
The PPP frontman also took jabs at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan calling him a ‘master of U-turns’.
“Where is the new Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa? The public demands answers. Imran Khan can only utter abusive remarks and take U-turns. If he continues this way, soon enough he will witness a U-turn which will force him to quit politics and return to cricket, ” he concluded.
